Certified Hand Therapy
A certified hand therapist has a minimum of 5 years of experience and specializes in the treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, stroke, accident, or trauma.  Our therapists help patients with the management of pain, desensitization after nerve injury or trauma, sensory re-education, conditioning, home exercise programs, splint fabrication, and retraining of performance in daily life skills.

Splint Fabrication
Our therapists are skilled in fabricating specialized Splints which are vital to the success of rehabilitation after a surgical treatment or injury. Splints are used to improve position, immobilize effected area, or correct/prevent deformity to ensure proper function and healing.

Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury
Our therapists work towards maximum functional independence. Improving mobility in and out of bed/chairs and maneuvering wheel chairs. Safe walking skills, improved balance, and coordination and the development of proper movement patterns is emphasized.

Worker’s Compensation
Our therapists work closely with a referring physician, employees and patient to assure that a safe return to work is provided.  Our therapists provide Functional Capacity Evaluations which help to guideline the injured worker back to work.  Work modifications, splinting, retrospective analysis and effective treatment allow the worker to return to work as soon as possible.

Lymphedema Treatment
Whether you have experienced increased swelling in your extremities from Cancer or disease our therapists have the skills necessary to control, manage and fit you with compression garments and teach proper skin care and precautions so you may more quickly resume your normal activities.
