Medical & Surgical Unit

Wooster Community Hospital offers a Medical/Surgical area that delivers care to a variety of medical and surgical patients. Our highly skilled nursing staff provides physical and emotional care to patients and their families. Several Registered Nurses are certified in Oncology Nursing and specialize in caring for cancer patients.

Another area of expertise for the Medical/Surgical Area is caring for patients who have undergone Orthopedic Surgery for joint replacement or to repair bone injuries. Our nursing staff works closely with physical therapists in developing a plan of care designed to return orthopedic surgery patients to an independent lifestyle.
