   Wooster Community Hospital has a New building providing larger more comfortable rooms with state of the art technology allowing Wooster Community Hospital to provide EXCEPTIONAL patient care!

The Progressive Care Unit, on the first floor of the new Wooster Community Hospital addition offers cardiac care with larger more comfortable rooms and advanced technology. All 29 rooms include the ability to simultaneously monitor cardiac rhythm and administer IV medications.

  1 All equipment is mobile and easily accessible. This prevents the need to move patients from room to room. Due to this advanced technology faster and more accurate treatment is possible in most cases. Machines measure heart rate and electorcardiogram, or ECG. The ECG records the electrical activity of the heart. In some cases, recorded data prompt lifesaving treatments that can be administered before any symptoms appear.

Wireless internet access is also available at business centers located on the floor. Snacks, coffee and water are easily obtainable at nourishment centers. The unit is conveniently located to intensive care and the emergency room. Other areas used for cardiac diagnosis and testing are also easily accessed.
