What are the benefits of infant massage:

  • Relaxes Infant - Loving touch lessens tension, fussiness and irritability, stimulates digestion and relief from symptoms of colic.

  • Enhances Bonding - When parents massage their babies, they prompt quality time, create better bonding, and increase confidence in their own parenting skills.

  • Aids Growth & Development - Infant massage promotes weight gain, circulation, emotional security, and a healthy body image.

  • Promotes Communication - A parent who massages his or her infant becomes more aware of the baby's nonverbal cues. One-on-one communication instills a message of love and security.

  • Improves Baby's Sleep - Infants who learn to relax and release stress often experience sounder and longer sleep.

Who Is at Risk?

Sometimes when you want it the least, your body needs it the most.  When you feel tired, worn out and stressed out, the last thing you feel like doing is driving down to your health club for an intense workout.  The fact is, this is exactly what you should do. 1
