Progressive Care Unit

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Wooster Community Hospital is a specialized medical surgical and cardiac unit with private one-bed rooms. This unit was designed to provide our patients and their families with state of the art care, while ensuring privacy and comfort.

Our specialized equipment and unit design allows us to care for patients that require cardiac monitoring, blood pressure readings, specialized catheter readings, and patients who require a higher level of nursing care without having to move them to the Intensive Care Unit. For patients requiring breathing therapy, the Progressive Care Unit has specialized equipment readily available. Our state of the art equipment and specially trained nursing staff allows us to provide compassionate, quality care in a healing setting.

  • All Registered Nurses working in the Progressive Care Unit are trained in advanced cardiac life support techniques.
