Are you looking for a unique opportunity to serve other, and at the same time learn new skills and make new friends?
According to many of our volunteers, the most significant benefit they receive from volunteering is a genuine sense of satisfaction from helping others. Our volunteers come from every walk of life and they appreciate the opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends. Teenagers and college students have a unique learning opportunity through the Junior Partner program (ages 14-18) and our Medic Aide (college) program. The work our Volunteers perform at Wooster Community Hospital is important, and the friendships they make are long-lasting.
Volunteer Positions
Our most popular positions are working at the Information Desk, Gift Shop, Messenger (delivering internal mail), and Escort (errand running). Other Volunteers assist patients by filling water pitchers, deliver comfort items, act as a friendly visitor, and may help with clerical work on the nursing units and wherever needed.

Wooster Community Hospital has many locations around the Wooster area. Each of these locations provides the same quality of care and support that you will find at the Main Campus. We have established these locations in order to serve you better. Each location offers popular and specific services that allow you to have them available without having to travel to our main Campus location. Wooster Community Hospital offers transportation to the Hospital, HealthPoint, and physician offices on our Active Medical Staff located in Wooster including the: Medical Office Building at the Hospital, Milltown Professional Building, the Cleveland Clinic in Wooster, and Wooster Eye Clinic. Senior Partners is a free benefit program sponsored by Wooster Community Hospital and dedicated to the needs of seniors in our community. The only requirement is that members be at least 50 years of age.
