Good nutrition is important for good health and is an essential part of your journey with cancer. Eating the right kinds of foods can help you feel better and protect your strength and energy before, during, and after your cancer treatment.
We can help you and your loved ones learn about the value of good nutrition, your nutrition needs, and ways to cope with treatment side effects that may affect how well you can eat.
In addition, eating well while you are in treatment may help you:
- Maintain your weight and your body's store of nutrients
- Lower your risk of infection
- Heal and recover faster
Each person registered will receive a complimentary cookbook, "Eating Well Through Cancer." This book contains easy recipes and recommendations for during and after treatment.
Come join our registered dietitian/nutritionist for this one-hour introductory class the 4th Tuesday of each month from 3-4 pm. Exceptions: July and November will be on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
