Dr. Dylan Childs is a board-certified specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery with a distinct subspecialty in hand surgery. A member of Bloomington Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, he provides exceptional and compassionate care to patients at Wooster Community Hospital.
Dr. Childs earned his medical degree from the Northwestern Ohio University College of Medicine before completing his internship and residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. To further refine his expertise, he completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Childs is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has made significant contributions to his field through numerous publications and presentations. A dedicated teacher and mentor, he was honored as “Educator of the Year” for 2023-2024, reflecting his commitment to advancing medical education alongside patient care.
