If you or someone you know needs help recovering from an illness or injury, WCH Health System's Home Health Services department is at your service. Our professional team of nurses, therapists, social workers, and home health aides provides in-home care to patients and families in Wayne, Holmes, and Ashland counties of Ohio. Our goal is to offer compassionate care while helping patients regain as much independence as possible.

Home health services are available to individuals who need skilled care due to an ongoing condition, disability, or recent illness. Hospitalization is not required before receiving care. To qualify for our home health program, a patient must be under a physician's care and must be generally confined to their home. This means that your condition does not permit leaving the home on a regular basis or that leaving the home is a hardship.

Payment for Home Health Services

Home health is covered 100 percent for Traditional Medicare and some Medicare Advantage Plans. Many commercial insurance companies have provisions that allow for treatment of illness in the home setting. Home health is also covered by workers’ compensation with prior authorization from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
