The Baxter production facility in North Carolina, which supplies 85% of Ohio hospitals with IV solutions, was severely affected by Hurricane Helene. This has led to a significant reduction in IV fluid supplies, potentially delaying surgeries at WCH. Hospital leadership is actively implementing mitigation strategies to adapt to the situation and maintain exceptional care for our community.

Just Breathe

The Just Breathe Course is encouraged for anyone interested in learning more about managing the discomforts associated with labor and birth. It is perfect for the woman that desires a lower intervention birth experience, a woman wanting a refresher course after already having a previous child, a woman wanting to learn more ways her support person can be involved in the labor process, or just a first-time mother looking for the best labor experience possible. This class truly would be a benefit for families but HURRY, class sizes are kept small, and they could fill up quickly.

This class is taught by an experienced Perinatal Registered Nurse that works in the Women's Pavilion and has specialized training in supporting women during low intervention labor and birth.
